[2005] Can we distribute WMEncoder.exe
Hi,
If we create a software using Windows Media Encoder 9 capability, can we port/distribute WMEncoder.exe setup with our application? What are the licensing terms? I have tried to understand their License terms but its not very clear about 9 series
Thanks

Re: [2005] Can we distribute WMEncoder.exe
You're asking us to interpret Microsoft licensing terms for a product that has no specific connection to VB.NET. This question does not belong in a VB.NET forum.

On the safe side, I would provide some requirement where they have to download the exe from MS instead of distributing it.

Re: [2005] Can we distribute WMEncoder.exe
Without having checked the licensing agreement, I would guess that you'd have to supply the package as it is supplied by Microsoft. Just distributing the EXE with no license agreement, etc. is likely to be against the rules.
