Also how do you find a local test centre?

Agree

See sevenhalo's link
NOTE: Their courses are expensive, but, if it is a course associated with an exam, the instructor will typically indicate that "if you are going to take the [insert exam number here] I would pay special attention to this next section."
At least, the instructors for the Microsoft class that I've taken did that.

Re: Microsoft Courses?
Not how. The courses/tests recommend that you have 2+ years of applied knowledge with the technology you're taking the class on. They're more of a "prep" course then a true class.

Re: Microsoft Courses?
Cert worth nothing [in my opinion] but it wouldn't hurt to have it if you have few hundred pounds (and time btw) to spare...

And the company you are working for will foot the bill for the exam fee and related courses.

Re: Microsoft Courses?
Ok the info on the microsoft page is difficult to obtain. Can you teach yourself through books/online courses then take the actual exam. most of the companys over here offering it in the uk seem pretty over priced and to be honest i'd work better if I can do it at my own pace?
i still cant find out where the test centres are?
