    Out of hospital

My son's finally out of hospital. Free of pain, no more internal bleeding, gaining weight, unbroken nights sleep, hungry - always hungry (atm he must be eating @ 4000 calories a day), restless. Actually wanting to go out and do something - I haven't seen that for a long time - and the operation scars haven't even healed yet . He'd had a temporary ileostomy when he was younger, so was only mildly depressed this time, but even that went when one of the prettier and more down to earth nurses said "We all have to sh|t through a hole somewhere, at least you don't have to worry about clinkers" (I'll try to make any further posts less crude, but remember, I'm a bus driver )

I like my nurses ugly. That way, when I'm in pain, I have something to laugh at.
