    File Version info

    Is it possible to get the version of a file with php. Basically what I am trying to do is implement an automatic update system for a windows application that I am creating. Currently I have a database that stores the file versions. What I want to do is have the php file check the version of the files in the update directory and return these to the windows client. All of this I can already do, except for get the file version of the files. Is this even possible in php? thanks for any help.

    Yes, you should be able to call the GetFileVersionIfno API function using the W32api functions.
    I can try writing a sample if I get a chance.

    This is on a Linux server, so I am assuming that this is not applicable.
