[2005 express] database questions

Hey guys, I have a few database questions, here goes.

First, how do I filter the data in my database. I know this isn't hard (i think) but just cant figure it out.

Second, I have a blank datagridview that i want to use to display the results of my program. More specifically i have a football program where i would like the stats that i am compiling during the game to be listed in the datagridview. The problem i am running into is the datagrid starts with one line by default and then wont fill past this one line. How can I create more blank rows to be filled? Also, i guess as question 2A, the reason i want to use a datagridview to display the stats is that I am thinking this will be the most conveniant way to copy and paste to an excel spreadsheet. Am I correct in this assumption or should I be looking at a different option.

Sorry about the long list of questions but i figured i'd try to knock them all out at once. Thanks in advance for any and all help, you guys have been i huge help to me already so far.
