Threading in VBA
Hey,
Is there any way that i can introduce threading in VBA.
I have a piece of code as if one user is running that code other should wait.just like making lock at start and unlocking at end.

Re: Threading in VBA
you can set a global variable to true when user1 code starts, set bac when finished, check variable before running code for user2
i do my best to test code works before i post it, but sometimes am unable to do so for some reason, and usually say so if this is the case.
Note code snippets posted are just that and do not include error handling that is required in real world applications, but avoid On Error Resume Next
dim all variables as required as often i have done so elsewhere in my code but only posted the relevant part
come back and mark your original post as resolved if your problem is fixed

Well, would that be good solution. coz different users will have thier diffferent copies for softwre. obviously will have differnt shared variable....
so what do you think?

Re: Threading in VBA
maybe each user can have a variable set when they are working, each user check for any other, this would avoid having duplicate of the same variable
