    microsoft office word viewer 2003

    Before I download this ms piece of junk can anyone tell me if it can be embedded in a user control ?

    There aint much info on this out there.

    My initial thoughts would be no as it would prevent the need for people to purchase Word if developers wrapped the viewer in a program and sold it themselves.

    What a bummer.

    I have embedded explorer in a control but that approach to opening office docs is a bit flakey.
    Its a shame that office viewer control isn't still available.

    I hate messing aroung with office gggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

    Well they have changed it for 2007. The file format is now opensource. Its an xml compressed heirarcal structure that you can edit without needing any Office app installed. Quite cool.
