    Simple CR Question

    Hi

    Well I am totally new to crystal reports, and have so far dragged several fields from the field explorer from a DB onto the report.

    However there will be 2 fields, price & quantity, I want to multiply the price by the quantity, but where do I put my code etc lol.

    how about a formula field. Write a the code to calculate and drop it in the required section. Hope u follow.

    Everytime I create a new formula, the program simply freezes and I have to use Taskmanager to close it, whats going on?

    Thats strange..
    What ver of CR ur using.
    If ur using CR9 then in the Field Explorer u right click on Formula fields->New->Editor is how you go about creating a formula. Are u doing this. You may also be using the Report Menu
