Can't wait. I just found my Skorponok (sp?) toy from back in the day. His head comes off and transforms into a little bloke. Coolness.

Re: Transformers Movie
I had a fever once back in college. At one point in the morning, the autobots had a base in my sleeping bag (I had the chills so bad I had put on long underwear, and put my 15 degree (F) sleeping bag under a couple heavy blankets, and was still shivering). The bad guys showed up on my pillow, and the autobots flew out to fight with them. I was hiding behind the sleeping bag so they wouldn't shoot me by accident.
A couple hours later I decided that the whole thing probably hadn't happened, and perhaps the fever had been a bit higher than I had thought at the time.
My usual boring signature: Nothing

You'd have known it was real if there were puddles of oil and busted up engine parts scattered around your bed.

The Spelling is Scorpinox, Your version is a later release and is known as a "Head Master", and he appears in the movie.

Re: Transformers Movie
Just went and saw it. Despite the apalling computer blabbery ("Wait, there's a program hidden in this signal") it was really good fun. My only real criticism was that all the deceptecons and half the autobots were a dull grey so it was really hard to follow the action scenes.
I didn't spot that

I bet he's popular with the ladies, what with being a respected member of the Decepticons and all that.

Re: Transformers Movie
Here's a gripe ::Spoiler Alert::
If anyone remembers the original series, you will remember that Jazz was a sports car, and loved to Jam stereos loud, talked in music or rhymes, and even used speakers as a weapon.
Knowing all of this, why do you suppose the directors saw fit to turn bumblebee into a Jazz Clone, especially considering Jazz was in the movie?

Re: Transformers Movie
==SPOILERS==
When they are first introduced Jazz does act like the Jazz of old by using music to emphasize his voice and dances around. However Jazz isn't in it much in terms of voicing, especially compared to Bumblebee. Besides, the only point that bumblebee acts like Jazz is when he first talks to Sam, and you could argue that he's excited that Sam understands him

Re: Transformers Movie
that was my point. The only talking he did was through radio and he was a sports car. The part should have been played by Jazz.

Nah, Bumblebee was the main character along with Optimus. Jazz was only a minor character

Re: Transformers Movie
yeah dvd will rock. Should be made by the same group that made the final Lord of the rings boxed set. I want 2 disks to start with, transforming robot screens avers on my computer, demos of the video game, 4 hours of deleted scenes, exclusive director's cut that introduces the dinobots, etc. I hope it meets my expectations

Re: Transformers Movie
Speaking of Dinobots, I've got Grimlock. He was the T-Rex one. Probably the most complicated transformer toy they made at the time. The humanoid form looks weird but the dinosaur form is really decent.
I broke half of his tail off when I was 9 He's never been the same since.

Re: Transformers Movie
just because of the giant wings and the "feet". And speaking of bumblebee, another non-bumblebee trait in the movie is his ability to kick butt. He was the weakest of all robots in the original series (and the smallest) except for maybe a single insecticon. Barricade would have annihilated him in a real fight.

I think Grimlock has a small part in this movie, probably indicating a future role in the sequels

Re: Transformers Movie
the first movie didn't have a sequel. Why would this one? Especially since they made the mistake of killing all the decepticons and destroying the source of new ones. And by the way, how come every new robot they created with the cube was evil?

Actually that was something I wondered. I thought it would be more logical for the robot to take on the natural attribute of the person/robot holding it. So if Optimus used it autobots would be created and such.
Why would this one???? Hmmmm....MONEY!!
This film has made a fortune, before including the merchandising so a sequel is as inevitable as mendhak getting weirder every passing day

Re: Transformers Movie
Ok, I'll go ahead and say it since we're all thinking it and no one else will.
Transformers suck. It's a horrible premise for a show - let alone a movie. The cartoon was horrible, the toys were horrible, the lunchboxes were horrible, the sneakers were horrible... Nothing good came from it.
If I had to compare the movie to something, it would be this:
It was a pathetic attempt to resurrect a dead horse that has been completely disfigured from beatings 20 years ago - only to chaulk it full of product placement to get the financial backing that no credible movie studio would give it in hopes to appeal to the sad, lonely husk of a man's demographic through nostalgia.

Re: Transformers Movie
Yeah by "What we all were thinking" you mean your multiple personalities, because no one on the forum agrees with you.
I happened to like the movie, i LOVED the original series, loved the original movie (the first cartoon to feature a curse word), and was impressed even more with beast wars and beast machines, as well as the minicon series. I think it is odd that none of the different series actually relate to each other, but besides that, it is all good tv, and i wish it would have been resurrected for a modern audience. The direction of the new movie left a lot to be desired, but all in all, i am not sorry i saw it.
