i would like a laptop though
Some people have told me they don't think a fat penguin really embodies the grace of Linux, which just tells me they have never seen a angry penguin charging at them in excess of 100mph. They'd be a lot more careful about what they say if they had.

1)An old Mac running OS 6
2)Compaq presario(desktop), I can't remember the model, but it's not working because I took out the CDROM, Zip, HDD, RAM, Floppy, and an IDE cable...(floppy + IDE cable was for a friend, and everything else is for me)
3) HP 8565C (desktop)
I don't want a laptop... I used to want one, but they're basicly crap...... they cost too much, and a comparible desktop is outdated about 6 months or more.
1 PIV 2000 <- ninja bastard machine, actually still trying to get the friggin scanner and SCSI drives to work on it. How MS can claim Windows is easy to configure is beyond me.....I hate Bill Gates
And
A G4...the hottest PC in the world bar none. Haven't done much with it yet, but it sure do blast image files quickly.
And
I brought my son an iMac, (the one with the doppy friggin spotted case), cause they use them at his school.
So just go back to your sad and dreary biege casings.

Please don't call me pedantic Jethro, but a G4 is not stricktly a PC, it is still a seriously cool Mac, fast as you like and really good for Design..... Sorry.. I'll get my coat!
I have a G3 300 mhz Tower, a 1 ghz PC with Radeon Graphics card.... I use them both for Web Design (and the PC for playing Games ) because they both have their good and bad points...
I got a P2 350MHz w/96MB SDRAM, IBM 8gig HDD, 17" monitor, and an ATI RAGE PRO TURBO(AGP 4MB VRAM). IBM, model E5U. Currently using this machine. Win 98SE, Tower. I got VB5, VC++5, BC++, etc...
My personal PC, in my room. This is sad... AMD 486DX2-80MHz w/16MB EDO RAM, 2 HDDs (Quantum 809MB, Seagate 101MB, sad... lol ), 14" Black/white monitor that refuses to work(I need a new monitor), and an S3 805(1MB VRAM) using a VESA/VLB(video-logic-bus). Old, but I built it at school, Tech-teacher gave it to me. Newly installed Win95(b?). I got BC++ on this.
Before the 486, I had a VERY sad/poor excuse for a PC... I built it, i386DX-33MHz w/4MB RAM(had 8MB installed, 1 mem bank wasn't recognized ), Seagate 101MB HDD(My 486 has the HDD now, installed it for fun again, sad), b/w monitor (Again, the 486 has it now), ATI VGA Wonder 16(ISA, 512KByte VRAM??? no idea ). Win 3.1 ... crappy, but at least I could program in C on it Tower, no case on tower(just chassis.
I want to have a laptop, badly... Programming @ school in free time
Designer/Programmer of the Comtech Operating System(CTOS)
Well, my comp at home is better than the one they got me for my work (not for long though, as when 1.6Ghz is around i'm getting one of those ) but my comp at home is actually an AMD Athlon 850, with 256Mb PC133 RAM a 32Mb GeForce 2MX 3D card an SB 128 bit PCI Card a 8.4 Gb HDD but i want to upgrade to a 20 Gb uDMA 100 HDD and a crappy 15" monitor (up to a 17" when i have the money) and my speaker rule all, i have two little tiny Satellite speakers that are top notch and a cube sub-woofer very nice indeed.
Now, aren't you sorry you didn't just keep on scrolling?
oh, and none of the original bits of my old crappy K6-2 450MHz with 32Mb Ram exisit except for the HDD and monitor. I put the rest in myself *beams with pride*
