Hai all,

I went though the FAQ section and found only a few note about the signature. It says 'signature is a piece of text' like.

But i just wanted to know,

What type of a signature i can use? i mean,

can i promote my music site though the signature?
or
Do signatures that have a hyper links to an external site should relevent to Programming?

Can i put an affiliate link to MacAfee Anti Virus?

I did not find answers to thease type of questions in the FAQ Section if i am correct

It should be noted that i already removed one of my signatures after a request from a Moderator . Coz it does not meet the policies. But i did not find a Policy for the Signatures

Do signatures that have a hyper links to an external site should relevent to Programming?

Not necessarily, but the sites must be non-competing and non revenue-generating. If it's revenue-generating, the link will be considered an advertisement—and if one of us notices, you will be asked to remove it.

Personal sites are fine, as long as they don't breach the above conditions.

Can i put an affiliate link to MacAfee Anti Virus?

No. As a product link that is considered an advertisement. Further more, affiliate links usually contain referral IDs, which are also covered under the advertisements/solicitations clause of the AUP.

Probably i have come a cross the Agriment while register with VBF. I would have sad 'I Agree' With out reading the agriment as usual

Yes—boring though they are, it's usually best to read those when signing up for sites.
In our case, the blurb contains the verbatim contents of the AUP.
