[RESOLVED] Please help me; TV Recording
We are monitoring news from TV and we placed 1 TV with a tuner for each TV station. As of now we are monitoring 7 TV stations so already have 7 computers and 7 TV tuners for recording.
I'm thinking of recording multiple TV stations using a single computer w/ a TV tuner, but I don't know what devices/softwares we need to make this work.
Thanks for responses.

You cannot do that I think because TV transmits only one signal.
Having a TV tuner will not definitely help. This calls for another technology level. TV Tuners ony emulate TV behavior and does not supersede it.
CCTV however can do 7 cameras in 1 computer.

I think it is the device I'm looking for but what I saw yesterday only records video and not capable of recording audios.
I'm looking for that now.
Thanks for the idea but this thread is still unresolved.

Re: Please help me; TV Recording
are you thinking along the lines of a vcr which allows you to record one channel while allowing you to watch another at the same time or picture in picture?

Re: Please help me; TV Recording
the signals are all available simultaneously in the air at differing frequencies, all that is needed is a multi process tuner card. demand is probably pretty low though meaning they may not be available.

Sorry if I cannot "name" the device you are looking for.
The device you are looking for exists but I don't know what that is called.
You could ask those 7 TV stations if they have Internet services. Then you could watch them simultaneously.
Although they may not cater that kind of service. If it is, it is paid media.

I've found a CCTV which can record both video from my bestfriend; google.com and audio but I still don't know what is the name of that device.
Maybe next week I'll visit those CCTV stores here in NCR, probably in Quiapo.
Thanks for the responses.

Re: [RESOLVED] Please help me; TV Recording
any cheap tuner card can record video and audio. The problem is that when you use multiple tuner cards, you either overload the bandwidth of the usb port or the number of available pci slots. And the way the record audio will ensure that it is impossible to give each recording the sound from only one tuner. It is quite possible to watch 7 tv shows on one computer screen, but how would you separate the audio? You would have to have 7 audio cards.
