Its finally happened !!!!!

I have finally switched to .NET (2005 to be more precise).

And here comes the first question of undoubtedly many ..... can I turn off the start page ? It causes an annoying lag as it connects to teh internet to populate itself

I can't find anything relating to it under Tools/Options.

Tools > Options

Under Help > StartUp and select "show empty environment" using drop down

Sorry .... couldn't find anything under Tools/Options called "Help", let alone anything else.

Looked in the "Help" pulldown menu and couldn't find anything called "Startup" either.

after you selected options you will have options window and extend "Environment" you will see "Help" there under that there is "Startup"

I don't. After extending "Environment" I only have "General" and "Fonts and Colours". There are o pull down boxes or anything relating to startup in either.

I take it you are moving from VB6, i did too. First few weeks are a little tough but it's just a matter of learning a couple of key things. Then it's bloody great.

Big up to Cardiff too. Was there for 4 years, great place.

Yeah I am. Just getting my head around all the changes .. or trying to at least.
I have heard by those that use it that it has come on leaps and bounds, so hopefully I will get to that frame of mind sooner rather than later.

Yes ... nice place. Been here 17 years now so I guess I must like it too !
