Delete the thread, then start a new thread, re-inserting foot in process.
-
Leave the thread up as a learning experience to everyone.
-
Call everyone a idiot and claim their 4000 posts were just luck. THEN delete thread, etc.
-
Apoligize for calling everyone involved who was right while you were wrong an idiot. Too bad you can't delete someone else's thread, huh?

Here is my opinion:
If you say something in a forum and state something as a fact which can easily be proven as wrong, you should not do the following if someone questions you about it:
step 1) delete the thread
step 2) make a new thread and call anyone who disagreed with you an idiot and claim that they don't know how to program in vb even though they have been programming in vb longer than you have owned a computer.
step 3) repeat step 2 with the new thread when you again put your foot in your mouth. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.
How does anyone else feel about this?

Just 1 day back, two threads were deleted by a person
claiming himself to be the only programmer and the
rest of us IDIOTS.
Mega Muffin, I Don't remember You doing that. I meant
some one else.

Well, if he is anything like that cook in NY who "gained" the lives of many famous people to obtain their credit cards/bank accounts and associated money then maybe. He did it mostly through the internet, and stole millions from people like Paul Allen (co-founder MS), Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey etc etc). Surprisingly he deliberatly left out old Bill. He's the first i would have gone for.

Ask Jethro, Chrisjk and everyone!
Go the third. Apologise for insulting the entire population of whomever you insulted claim that you were under the infuence of drugs and/or stupidity and take the load of abuse thrown at you!
chrisjk is "kook" not "cook" i think you were trying to say!

writing haskell makes your life easier:
reverse (p (6*9)) where p x|x==0=""|True=chr (48+z): p y where (y,z)=divMod x 13

You may as well tell us, incase I malign the wrong individual.
Unfortunately I missed the discussion in question (I've been out of circulation for a week after breaking both arms..... don't ask!).

I will neither confirm or deny the NV reference
However i will release this tidbit. In addition to calling me an idiot and someone who can't program, the as-yet-unconfirmed induhvidual also referred to Megatron the same way. Megatron is one of the best programmers on this board (imho).

Is it true that devmax developed a VB compiler
without runtimes.

supposedly its still being worked on. It fully supports api though, thus they needed api code to show forms. I found it quite odd that they had the ability to create controls with api but not forms, since they all use the same api call.
But that is what dar.. er i mean the unnamed person wanted to start with. So if you had his prog at its current stage, it supports .ocx and .api and as far as i know all the standard operators. I wouldn't mind testing it myself. i'd love to make a program that when compiled in vb takes up 50 k and compile it with his prog and it be faster and smaller, say 10 k.

Ive seen KV in the Assembly forum. I seems that a lot of low level
programmers seem to scoff at some of the high level programmers sometimes.
