London car bombs
*sigh*
I do wish the loonies wouldn't do these things just when I need to go into town.

Re: London car bombs
It sounded like they were trying to blow some upscale cars. Does this mean the terrorists have gone GQ on us?

Haha. Hopefully now they'll introduce more stringent immigration laws seeing as they were all foreign nationals.
And doctors at that! Not exactly uneducated......although I suppose that's debatable :lol

I thought it was hillarious, what a bungled attempt, made me laugh imagining them planning it thinking how clever their plan was only to succeed in damaging a door foiled by an advertising board. The Gas cannisters didn't even explode. What made them think setting the car on fire then trying to drive it was the best plan, then there was a passenger too what a dumbo.
The 911 plot took some planning, co-ordinating airplanes and everything but the UK efforts thank goodness hardly seem to have been planned by criminal masterminds.

That's true every time you cross the road. I've said it before and I'll say it again: don't be afraid of statistical anomalies; they almost never happen.

Is an old IRA saying from when they were bombing London.
Yeah its true, there are dangers all around us but
it is not going to disrupt normal life.
All I was saying there is that its an inevitability that they will pull it off one day.

Re: London car bombs
I think that's why the Londoners got back to normality so quickly. With the IRA bombing of the past few decades

It's profiling but stop granting student visas to male Muslim students.
Seriously this group has a higher ratio of sex starved, lonely, angry nerds (the cause of most violence) combined with a promise of 72 virgins from an extremist version of Islam.
Just take in Muslim women Students or something.
Need I remind you of Cho Sueng Hui? Also a shooting in Seattle during a rave party? All done by angry lonely nerds.
Add religion to that mix your rate of volatility increases in a population.

Lonely, angry, nerds, the new terrorist profile. I like that. Probably something to it, too (though virgins don't make the best partners).

So what? You're saying I'm some sex craved lonely angry nerd that needs some form of attention by blowing tons of innocent people up?
Get real. I can barely make toast, let alone build a bomb that these lunatics keep using to kill loads of people for a reason beyond me.

capsulecorpjx just (unknowingly of course) described 70% of all programmers. The other 30% are retired.

Fortunately, it appears that this batch was no better at it than you claim to be.

Re: London car bombs
That was a bit of a rant; I'm getting really sick of these nutters from nowhere causing chaos and mayhem for the general public, because
1. Lots of innocent lives have been lost
2. Muslims will get the stick at the other end for this.
Fortunately, the last two posts gave a bit of smile on my face (especially mendhak's).
As for capsulecorpjx, I feel sorry that you think all Muslims are that way. I really do...

Re: London car bombs
One thing that's come out of this that's really bizarre to me: because these guys all worked for the NHS at some point, there are now calls for the NHS to have to security vet it's applicants based on their political views. That's ridiculous to me for two reasons:-
1. That sort of vetting is the remit of security services and the NHS isn't a security service. The NHS should be solely interested in hiring people who are good at making me well.
2. Read number 1 again.
