    Question

    Here is my opinion:
If you say something in a forum and state something as a fact which can easily be proven as wrong, you should not do the following if someone questions you about it:
    step 1) delete the thread
step 2) make a new thread and call anyone who disagreed with you an idiot and claim that they don't know how to program in vb even though they have been programming in vb longer than you have owned a computer.
step 3) repeat step 2 with the new thread when you again put your foot in your mouth. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.

How does anyone else feel about this?

Just 1 day back, two threads were deleted by a person
claiming himself to be the only programmer and the
    rest of us IDIOTS.

Mega Muffin, I Don't remember You doing that. I meant
    some one else.

Well, if he is anything like that cook in NY who "gained" the lives of many famous people to obtain their credit cards/bank accounts and associated money then maybe. He did it mostly through the internet, and stole millions from people like Paul Allen (co-founder MS), Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey etc etc). Surprisingly he deliberatly left out old Bill. He's the first i would have gone for.

I will neither confirm or deny the NV reference

However i will release this tidbit. In addition to calling me an idiot and someone who can't program, the as-yet-unconfirmed induhvidual also referred to Megatron the same way. Megatron is one of the best programmers on this board (imho).

ok here is the gist of what was said.
As yet alleged loser stated "i can make a form with api now. Therefore i don't need vb runtimes. I tested it and it works great"
Megatron pointed out that vb will always need runtimes since every command is in them.
    I agreed with megatron.
So lamer deleted the thread and posted a 2nd thread calling the people who disagreed i nthe 1st thread "idiots who need to learn how to use vb"
He also claimed to have tested the compiled program on a system without runtime files.
So i posted a post in his new thread asking if he had actually deleted the msvbvm files or if he just assumed they weren't there since the machine never had vb.
He didn't seem to understand that they come with windows now thanks to the scripting host.
I then later posted a 2nd post stating that i had compiled a program without any forms and not a single line of code, consisting entirely of a empty sub main, and it STILL required the runtime files.

After all of this, i decided to (for no apparent reason) search the forum for previous posts by k*.*v*.* and see if he was always this rude/obnoxious and stumbled across a thread in another area of the form posted by a guy who was developing a compiler for vb that didn't require the runtimes. It turns out that Day Blindness stupidly either forgot to mention (or more likely forgot altogether) that he was compiling the vb projects he was testing with this compiler, not microsoft's.

So in fact, his programs didn't require runtimes.
But after i posted this glaring omission on his part, that thread mysteriously vanished as well.

Is it true that devmax developed a VB compiler
    without runtimes.

supposedly its still being worked on. It fully supports api though, thus they needed api code to show forms. I found it quite odd that they had the ability to create controls with api but not forms, since they all use the same api call.
But that is what dar.. er i mean the unnamed person wanted to start with. So if you had his prog at its current stage, it supports .ocx and .api and as far as i know all the standard operators. I wouldn't mind testing it myself. i'd love to make a program that when compiled in vb takes up 50 k and compile it with his prog and it be faster and smaller, say 10 k.

Ive seen KV in the Assembly forum. I seems that a lot of low level
programmers seem to scoff at some of the high level programmers sometimes.
