Loading Textures from Picture Boxes using DirectX8

How would you go about creating a texture from a picture box in DirectX8. Alternatevely is there any way you could store images in the code?

I have only touched on DirectX, but I'm fairly certain it lets you create a texture from a byte array.. which means GetDIBits on a device context like a picturebox should work.
