    I've been using access for little over a year now. Was wondering how steep of a learning curve is it to learn SQL Server 2005?

    You can download a free version and find out. The SQL isn't much different - administering the database is.
    The most difficult part of developing a program is understanding the problem.
    The second most difficult part is deciding how you're going to solve the problem.
    Actually writing the program (translating your solution into some computer language) is the easiest part.
