It's a shame this topic was too hot for a level headed debate - I was not online when the thread was open so I'm not sure what all the issues were...

This election is bringing so many different players into the field - Catholic Italians, women, Mormons, southern actors and of course Obama. Reading the pulse of the members of the forum to get a handle on whether this country is ready for some out-of-the-box thinking would have been a nice read.

1) For the citizens of the US, it is being talked about all over the place, and i was surprised that it was not brought up on the forums yet, so i introduced the concept. Most people were respecting the issue and were discussing it in a mature fashion.

2)I know that i could have brought the topic into the forum in a better way, i take it the way i started it seemed as thought it was racism.

3)No it wasn't, it was to get real world opinions.

I agree that the topic of the diversity of candidates for the US election is interesting. Unfortunately, that isnt' the thread that was created. Additionally, when talking about diversity, issues often come up that are contentious.
