Does anyone have any experience of interfacing with MMS messages?


I have been asked to produce an app to log availability of service engineers who spend most of their time out on the road.

The 'concept' is that the service guy sends an MMS, on receipt of that, an app registers who it came from and updates a database. The MMS would be a preprogrammed text or code that would indicate that the engineer 'Is available for the next call out', 'busy on a call out', 'finished for the day', 'lost' , 'at lunch' etc.

The database is viewed by telephone operators that take incoming calls and they farm out the service jobs to whoever is available. They also send out details and the addresses for the next jobs over MMS. The app will keep records of service engineers activity over time, to judge performance, make comparisons etc.

I can do all of that except the most important bit which is the interfacing over MMS. Any help appreciated.
