[RESOLVED] TextBox as Control
I have a userform in which you have to fill many textboxes with numbers. I want to check the content of what has been just introduced as data. For this I wrote the following:
Code:
For Each c In Controls
MyName = c.Name
If Left(MyName, 7) = "txtVare" IsNumeric(c) = False Then
mensaje = MsgBox("xxxxx", vbInformation, "Error")
Revision = 1
End If
Next
The problem is that you cannot use IsNumeric() with Controls because Value is not a valid property of Controls. How could I check if the current control has a numeric value?

Re: TextBox as Control
i tested this and it works ok
vb Code:
Sub tboxs()
Dim c As control
For Each c In UserForm1.Controls
MyName = c.Name
If Left(MyName, 7) = "TextBox" And IsNumeric(c) = False Then
mensaje = MsgBox("xxxxx", vbInformation, "Error")
Revision = 1
End If
Next
End Sub
i do my best to test code works before i post it, but sometimes am unable to do so for some reason, and usually say so if this is the case.
Note code snippets posted are just that and do not include error handling that is required in real world applications, but avoid On Error Resume Next
dim all variables as required as often i have done so elsewhere in my code but only posted the relevant part
come back and mark your original post as resolved if your problem is fixed
