Subscribed threads question

when your in the Subscribed threads part of this forum, what does the notification check box do? I check it and nothing happens and when I reload the page it doesnt remember me checking it.

The check boxes are for selecting subscriptions so that you can perform operations on them by using the controls at the bottom of the list. The check box at the top is to quickly select/deselect all subscriptions.

Ahhhh I see now, I guess I missed that little combobox at the bottom. Thanks!
