    Talking Sweet!

Just got SkyHD and it's cool!

    120GB of HDD space.
Dual incoming signals so I can record two channels, or watch one and record another.
Pausing of Live TV, or rewinding live TV to watch your own replays
AnytimeTV which has a selection of 8 programmes and two movies I can watch anytime I want!
I can set my HDD recorder using both the Sky website, or text my box to record the programme

and of course the HD channels!

True. 24 hasn't been too bad and that Superstorm is interesting. At the moment though I agree there's hardly anything good on. But then most good series begin in the autumn anyway

    Re: Sweet!

I'm happy with my non-HD cable TV... I get over 80 channels, and the on demand content includes: "Over 500 films; 1000 music videos, including concerts; Popular drama series, kids programmes, comedies and documentaries; Our pick of last week's TV"

For that, I pay just £2 a month. If I was willing to spend an extra £15 a month I could have HD, along with pause/rewind live TV, and recording two programmes while watching a third.

If only there were enough decent programs on TV to make it worthwhile!

    Looking for something to watch?

Check out the 11 part "Planet Earth" series in High-Def on The Discovery Channel. Fantastic.

    Re: Sweet!

I've had HD for 4 months now - and when there is actually something interesting to watch in HD, I don't feel that large buyer's remorse for having spent $1400 on a HD television.

Satellite is still the best choice for HD programming and clarity - but since I need high speed internet, I had to settle for the cable company.

    Virgin Media?

I have all that for free, my Talk Unlimited plus call barring for 70p, and of course, 10Mb Broadband for £35.

    So, £35.70 a month ftw

    Re: Sweet!

    It is Virgin.

I've got the bigger TV package (which costs more), and don't have the phone (my similar mobile tariff is cheaper!) to bring down the price.

My total price for broadband/tv/mobile is about £40 a month, so I reckon we're both winners.

What do mean? TV is GREAT, I LOVE watching those sitcoms full with funny material, I mean, FRIENDS reruns anyone?
