You may not be able to fiund it anymore as its no longer sold by MS. The main differences are the extra controls and utilities etc.

Conversly, VS.NET Express 2005 is free for download if in case you end up wanting to switch languages.

The Enterprise edition has (for example) visual database tools integration such as Database Designer, Query Designer, and SQL Editor. You've also have a Visual Modeler, and SourceSafe integration.

As for the price tag, as RobDog already mentioned, MS doesn't sell this anymore, however you might still find it in a computer store that might specialize on yesterdays software, or on E-Bay. However what the cost will be then is impossible to answer

If you are still using it commercially, it's time you seriously considered moving to .NET, before it's too late.

From what I can gather from reading the MSDN website, you can purchase a VS2005 license and choose to downgrade it to license earlier versions of Visual Studio. This would allow you to legally install a copy of VS 6.0 from CD's you already have. If you don't have the CD's then you'll need to find a copy. You might try calling MS's MSDN replacement parts number and see if it's available through there.
