[RESOLVED] Invisible Mods
... should be banned.
JK.
We all have our personal reason for staying invisible. But I think it would be better if mods don't use the invisible mode.
Well...we can get list of all moderators from "Forum Leaders" page and regular members know who is more frequent and whom to PM for a problem.
But for new members it may not be easy. A new member may request "Admin" to move a thread or something....And during some time in a day no mods/admins are visible in "Who is online" list.
Not that anyone complained me....just saying 'cause I've faced similar problem in some oher forum.

Re: Invisible Mods
The easiest way to alert the crew is to use the Report Post button ( ). That'll send an email to the section moderator(s), or all Super Mods/Admins if the section has no-one assigned.

Re: Invisible Mods
(Un)fortunetly, you can't report your own post from the button.
May be using full URL work ?
http://www.vbforums.com/report.php?p=POST_ID
(Plz check 'reports' for this thread.)
But still it is not easy for new members.

Re: Invisible Mods
Yes, that's an issue with vB which has been fixed in version 3.6. I am not sure if your method will work.
For now, if you need one of your threads moved or deleted, you can just send a PM to the section moderator or any Super Mod and they will deal with it when they are next online.
I don't think it would really help to ask all mods not to use invisible mode as the situation will still occur when none of us really are online.
P.S. Reports in this section get sent to Brad and Martin only.

Re: Invisible Mods
That's why the Contact Us link is there. Being invisible can be very valuable in nabbing spammers. They think there's no one watching, and they post instead of waiting until they see all the mods are offline.

Re: [RESOLVED] Invisible Mods
I do agree with you that when possible, it is good for moderators to be visible rather than invisible. I am generally always visible when I'm online.
