    Passports! >_<

    I'm sure all of you have applied for one before. Well this is my first time. My work is paying for me to go to Boston for a training conference and so I need to get my passport.

    So I go online to see if I can find an application, and of course I cant. Then, I figure I will do one through my local office but problem is, they're backed up right now and it could take 4-5 months for me to get it. I need it in about 2.

    So I figure I will go to Ottawa and get everything done there, as it will only take about 2-4 weeks to get my passport. Well right after I decide I am going to do that, I remember I need some special guarantor.

    So I look through all the professions and I see a professor. I figure my boss could help me out since he used to teach and has his PhD. WRONG. I need to know him for 2 years.

    So now I am stuck getting some weird ass form and having to pay 30 bucks to get some lawyer to sign it and say that I am a legal Canadian citizen.

    You would think the government would already know that I am a Canadian citizen!! >_<

    You're 21 years old, and you've never left Canada?

    Most Canadians I know acquired their passports and left the country within moments of being conceived.

    I'm Canadian and I wasn't even born there.

    I filed a restraining order against Canada. So if I ever go there I can sue Canada for being too close to me.

    I've left Canada, just never North America. Up until a few months ago, we could go to the states using just a birth certificate and photo ID.

    Actually, they are just trying to spare you the painful consequences of visiting Boston. That city is pretty gnarly if you happen to have a car.
