[RESOLVED] Framework for VS2005
Ok - first question...
I went into VS2005 and create a silly little exe with a text box on it.
Copied it to the BUSINESS folder on this iPAQ.
Tried to run it on the iPAQ and got "This application requires a newer version of the .Net framework...".
So I got onto the MS site and downloaded NETCFSetupv2.msi.
The MS site said it would use ACTIVESYNC to install it on the iPAQ.
When I try to run NETCFSETUPV2.MSI on the laptop it complains about a "Another version" already being installed.
Is that on my laptop? I thought this was going to install the framework on the iPAQ.
Help!

Re: Framework for VS2005
Hi,
it installs it on the desktop, and then on the device

Re: Framework for VS2005
Thanks petevick - I uninstalled the compact framework then ran the downloaded install - it processed it on my laptop and then loaded the CAB onto the iPAQ.
Could I just have run the install from the laptop without getting the download from MS (assuming it was the most up-to-date version)?? Where would I have found the install option on the laptop??

Re: [RESOLVED] Framework for VS2005
Hi,
SP2 has just been released (or in the last month anyway) - It would be worth installing that.
The install on the laptop for the PPC will be in program files\microsoft visual studio8\
and then compact framework folders
Aren't at a system with CF on at the moment, so can't give you the exact location
