Don't leave your home without your keys
I smashed one of my windows this morning to get in, getting a nice gash in my thumb in the process.

Re: Don't leave your home without your keys
I know several ways. It depends whether or not you wish to set your home alight in the process.

Dude... and you didn't post any pics of the injury? What kind of friend are you?
Also, to reset, if you turn off your house for a minute, then start it back up, you'll find that your windows has been reset to it's previous state.

Why not ask a lock smith next time.
Better yet change careers and become a locksmith.

I used a bedpost to smash it, I cut myself removing bits around the sides.

Wuss!
used a bedpost? How in the world did you have a bedpost handy whilst locked out of your home?.......actually I'm not sure if I want to know the answer to that

Re: Don't leave your home without your keys
I'm begining to think this is a wind up.... let's examine the evidence: No photographic evidence of alleged event has been provided, allegedly a bedpost (also not provided as evidence of said alleged event) was used to allegedly break the window... and yet allegedly the hand gets cut removing the glass around the edges.
I'm not buying.
And there's STILL no photos.
I'm so disappointed grilkip.

Amateur. Did you learn nothing at school ?
A neighbour locked himself out once. Asked me to help. Took about 15 seconds. No damage - used to fit burglar alarms - had seen many break-in methods. He always looked at me funny after that.
