    Thread Subscriptions

Is there a problem with thread subscriptions? I have noticed that since the upgrade my subscriptions are not being kept despite posting in some threads several times.

    Re: Thread Subscriptions

I haven't noticed it. My Default Thread Subscription Mode is 'Instant Email Notification'.
See if somehow it has been changed or not.

    Re: Thread Subscriptions

Threads now get removed from the User CP "New Subscribed Threads" list (and the "New Posts" search) when you look at them..

Previously threads only got marked as read when you logged out (auto-logout occurred after 15 minutes of not loading any VBF pages), but now they get marked as read when you open them - and they only re-appear if there are new posts that you haven't read.

There's also been an issue with "cancelling" the subscription. It will force you to get notified in CP even if you remove it.

    Re: Thread Subscriptions

I have auto subscribe on and even this thread loses the subscription. It means I don't get notification emails either

    Re: Thread Subscriptions

Well I just checked, and you have exactly the same settings as iPrank, so it's not a problem with any of the options, or group membership (as you are both powerposters).

Based on your email address, I'm guessing that there isn't a spam filter (or at least, it's one you manage yourself), so the issues that several other members have had with email services isn't going to be the problem either.

..unfortunately that means I personally can't help on this one, hopefully Brad/Joe will have something more to add.

    Re: Thread Subscriptions

Thanks, I've done a search for my subscriptions. Apparently I am subscribed to only 8 threads. I know that I have replied to substantially more than 8 in the past 5 years

    Re: Thread Subscriptions

This is happening to me as well, with some threads.

On further inspection: they're all in Chit Chat, and all since the 13th of this month.

I think VBF need to revert to its last known good configuration.
