I think you can't spell. As for skateboards, I only have a problem with them if they get in my way and/or attempt to run me over. But then I push them off, so no harm done

Sad Americans???????
Hey now!!!!!!!..........let's not get personal Simon ;-)
It is only illegal to skateboard in posted areas....(parking lots, foot paths(where bicycles are also prohibited), places where they are in danger of being hurt or causing a danger to others)....I don't think this is sad or silly. I think it makes good sense. There are plenty of places that they CAN skateboard safely in our town.....zipping across the busy street while you're driving at 45mph isn't one of them!!!

Sorry, I don't like skateboarding. I guess with your poll I'm on the border line. I don't like it, so I want to say no, yet I think you should be able to, so I think yes at the same time. I just said "I don't know".

They have ramps set up in the parks for the kids to skateboard and it is perfectly legal for them to skate there. They can also skateboard in the bicycle lanes on the streets. It is only prohibited in places that it isn't safe!
okay Simon....you're forgiven

I don't see many skaters zooming around on pavements around here, so I guess I just don't realise the terrible threat they pose to society Seriously though, I think there's a fine line between too much and too little legislation, and I wonder if this is too much. What are the rules about rollerblading?

As far as I know you can rollerblade anywhere you like. As a general rule the rollerbladers behave in the same manner as the bicycle riders......no problems.
btw...I didn't vote that skateboarding is a crime....
