    detect speaker

    is there any ways can detect the speaker whether is connected to PC?

    If I understand you correctly, no. Even Windows doesn't know if the speaker is hooked into the sound card or not.

    That's assuming the sound card is either on-board or PCI. If it's USB/Plug-n-Play then there is the possibility that it can.
