    search record

    Hello everyone! I really cannot figured out how to create a search button that will search for the records with the same lastname. Example, if there are 10 records and there are 5 records with the same lastnames, these records will be displayed. Could anyone please help me how to do this? Thank you so much!

    What database are you using?

    How are you connecting to it?

    What do you have so far that isn't working?

    Hello! Im using Access as my database, then build connection with jet engine 4.0, test connection is successful... Honestly, i dont have any codes yet for this search button.

    Are you using VB6 (or VB.Net, or ...), and ADO code to connect?

    If so (or at least are using VB6) see the "ADO Tutorial" and "Further Steps" links in my signature.. otherwise, we need to know what you are using.
