HDD never stops running fast
My Hdd is running flat out even when im not using computer

Did you check your task manager for unnecessary processes and services ?

Thanks litlewiki!
the problem is wmpnetwk.exe from windows media update
now i have to find out how to fix this crap
auto update sent it to me been having this prob ever since
cant find it in add remove list seen it in task manager

My computer>properties>automatic updates and turn it off.

Is this option block all the updates. I mean Programs, Virus definition, etc...

yes,everything that has to do with windows updates.It will not affect your firewall or antivirus.
