VB6 keeps messing up
My VB6 program is getting on my nerves. It's simply a matter of now nearly every day the thing buggers up. I know the solution - copy MSORT97.DLL and MRT7ENU.DLL files to the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Shared\VBA folder - I've even made a program in VB.NET because this is getting too repetitive. I've reinstalled VB6, removed reg entries, etc. And I have checked Google, but that was a long time ago.
Has anyone had this happen to them?

Hi, when you reinstalled did you then do the Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 5 upgrade? Also is this on XP, and if so SP1 or SP2?

Re: VB6 keeps messing up
What is happening with the program that "buggers" it up?

Re: VB6 keeps messing up
What does your program do that requires Office 97?
It's always easier to come up with some reasonable suggestion when more details are given...

This:

EDIT: It doesn't even load up, it just pops that up and the window goes white as in it crashes.

I don't remember reinstalling any service packs, but I have got Service Pack 6 for VB6. I think since I installed that, problems started to occur. And this is on XP SP2.

What program? I just open VB6 and it spits that error. Always.
Although I do have a project that opens a Word Template with VB macros. But it opens the template by "Shell" and not by any references or anything.
Sorry for the lack of details, but it's hard to think what else to add to stuff like this.

Re: VB6 keeps messing up
Maybe add "It's the IDE that keeps crashing during load, not a program written in VB6"? That was my first impression, and it looks as if others thought so too.
Sorry I don;t have any solutions, but wasn't this asked a couple of weeks ago? (Or was it another thread by you asking the same thing?)
The most difficult part of developing a program is understanding the problem.
The second most difficult part is deciding how you're going to solve the problem.
Actually writing the program (translating your solution into some computer language) is the easiest part.
Please indent your code and use tags around it to make it easier to read.

I don't remember creating another thread about this, no...
