    meh, looks a bit crowded when there's stuff in the columns and looks like a waste of screen real-estate when the columns are empty

    I see what you mean... I personally think that Biography/Interests/MSN ID are irrelevant for the list (if you want that info, you would probably look at the individual profile anyway), and possibly the same applies to Occupation as well.

    Take out the Biography, Interests, and MSN ID, and it's good.

    My opinion is its way to crowded. Biography, Interests, Occupation, MSN ID are all non-essential. The VB Version and Location are just fine as a new additions to the list.

    BTW, I don't like the new design. I just use the memberlist page to search members when I want to PM or I want a link from their signature. The new design looks crowded.
