Possible Diabetes cure using Chilli Extract?

Just got this news article forwarded from my father. Hope you find it interesting.
TORONTO -- Scientists at a Toronto hospital say they have proof the body's nervous system helps trigger diabetes, opening the door to a potential near-cure of the disease affecting millions of Canadians.

Diabetic mice became healthy virtually overnight after researchers injected a substance to counteract the effect of malfunctioning pain neurons in the pancreas.
Personally I'm sceptical, as this so-called treatment hasn't been tried on humans yet. And even if it is effective, I very much doubt it's the "miracle cure" that the press are making it out to be.

I'm not taking any chances. I've started sucking down hot sauce by the gallon as a prophylactic measure.

I strongly recommend against using chilli sauce as a prophylactic.

Might want to look that word up, there are two definitions, both of which deal with prevention of disease, one of which is specific to STDs. I was using the word correctly, and am unsure whether it can be used otherwise.

Google on Da' Bomb Ground Zero, and you'll get plenty of hits. Do a bottle of this for every bottle of lucozade, and you'll lose your taste...for everything.

I have a bottle of Da' Bomb, but I'm honestly hesitant about even touching it. I have a pretty good tolerance for hot sauce, but that stuff is dangerously hot. The problem is that it can get onto the cap, and you won't see it. However, you have to be sure to lick your fingers after touching the cap, because there are other things that wouldn't take the burn quite as well as your tongue would.

Is it really that hot? I have never really tried it. I think the worst spicy sauce i have tried is tabasco sauce.

Da Bomb makes tobasco sauce taste like water...no, make that vinegar, because when you take the heat from tobasco, that's all you have left. A buddy of mine with a very high tolerance for heat decided to eat half a serving in a cup of rice. Half a serving proved to be 1/8th of a teaspoon. He was unable to eat the rice, so he doubled the amount of rice. Still unable to eat it, he doubled it again, and was finally able to get through it.

On the other hand, a sioux indian I know was eating a batch of chili with a drop of that stuff in it. Though the chili was inedible to anybody else, he sucked it down without any complaint, and didn't find it to be all that hot. Strange.
