Report is blank
Hi,
I have an existing VB pgm with Crystal Report 6.0 but realised with Office 2003, some reports were not able to get exported to Excel. So tot it's due to Crystal Report 6.0 & hope to try it out on Crystal Report 8.0.
But first i'm now having prob trying to open up the Crystal Report Designer, it's blank! any idea why is this so?

Re: Report is blank
cant understand ur problem , pls explain more , tell how u have make the connection with the query or database.
one more suggesstion that as u r moving forward by using version 8 so go for 8.5 as some more problems of 8 are resolved in it.
Thanks and Regards,

Re: Report is blank
sorry, wat i mean is, i can't view the Report in design mode under VB application at all, as this application had been developed quite long ago by some other developers.
Another issue is, when my users had upgraded to office 2003, they can only view the report in CR Viewer, but comes the Export option, it'll prompt "Invalid Directory", however, the stated report will create an excel file, but 0 byte i.e. no data is populated.
we had initially suspect that it's due to the different crviewer.dll available in their machine, as a search shows 3 different version, 1) in the system32 folder, version 2.1 2) in seagate/crystal decision, version 8 and 3) can't remember which folder, version 9.2!!
another issue is, i realized in development environment, the reference is pointing to a vbc13135.oca file for crviewer & when i tried to rename this file, there's no "Invalid Directory" error when i export, am able to export into Excel 2003!! what is this oca file?? any idea??
