I love this forum and am sure a lotta other ppl do too... I am just wondering why we are still stuch with vBulletin 3.0? and this crappy theme?...

I think we should upgrade or something and also have like a shout box on the main page of each category... I doubt that should be too hard... especially since this is a PROGRAMMING forum ...

All of the Jupitermedia forums are currently being updated to a newer release of vBulletin. VBForums is in line for that upgrade too.

As to our "crappy" theme - we've left the theme simple and close to the original. Since VBForums was created by the vBulletin guys originally, it seems appropriate to stick somewhat close to the original

It's not crappy, it's a heck of a lot more soothing on the eyes than most vBulletin themes I've seen.

Shoutboxes are gimmicky. I don't see the point.

Agreed. I've seen other 'variants' of vBulletin themes, and they don't so much irritate the eyes as they do stab, tear, gash, rip and assault the eyes and our aesthetic senses.
