    most useful language

    whats is the most useful programing language if you looking in a career in programming and or game development.

    In very few words: look at Visual Studio 2005. You can get yourself an Express edition for free directly from Micriosoft.

    The most useful language for game development is either:

    The highest level language you can find (this will make programming faster and easier)

    or

    Assembly (this will give you the greatest speed and most optimization).

    The two goals are just about mutually exclusive.
    The most difficult part of developing a program is understanding the problem.
    The second most difficult part is deciding how you're going to solve the problem.
    Actually writing the program (translating your solution into some computer language) is the easiest part.

    C++ last I heard for game developing. And some assembly if you're doing optimization.
