Are you left handed or right handed?

What do I choose if I'm cross-lateral? I write with my right hand so I put right-handed
I refuse to tie my hands behind my back and hear somebody say "Bend Over, Boy, Because You Have It Coming To You".

Don't you mean ambidextrous??

No. Ambidextrous is, as the name implies, equal ability with both hands. Cross-lateral means I should have been left handed, but was taught right-handed.
I play cricket/football left-sided though
I refuse to tie my hands behind my back and hear somebody say "Bend Over, Boy, Because You Have It Coming To You".

Fair enough, I have a mate who was left-handed, but was forced into using right hand. He's very bitter, like the Murpheys

Left handed people were thought to be witches and things like that for quite a while. Arts-wise, I'm musical...but I still cope well with techy stuff
Bizarre

They don't have a brain "defect".. The orientation of the
brain is inverted and that is not a defect as it does not
have any biological implications..
The left side of the brain controls the right side of the
body and vice versa.. for some people the left side of
the brain will be more powerful, so they are right
handed and vice versa

I have never played cricket, but I think I would hold the bat(?) as a lefty.

no, never saw, but I was just taking a guess...By the way, what is the bat equivalent called in cricket? Is it called a bat or something else?

I'm a lefty .
To many damn righty's in the World!
When you are little, you decide which hand you feel more comfortable with, and you use that hand the most for the rest of your life.
Wonder why we can't just learn to use both hands and use them the same for everything...you know, sometimes my right hand gets jealous because my left hand gets to do everything...write, play baseball, eat, turn the page on a book, change the channel, etc. etc.
Although, my right hand gets to do a few things like move the mouse, shake hands, arm wrestle, etc. etc.
Guess they both do about the same, but it'd be better to be both instead of a lefty or righty, which by the way, isn't an option up there .

Right handed people were treated better back then though.
My mom was a lefty when she was younger (still is), and the teacher made her sit in an area by herself because she used her left hand.
Some teachers even tried to get her to use her right hand and make her use it or....hrmmmm, don't really know everything `bout my mommy's past.
How racist is that?

I'd like to start trying to use my feet to do all of those things...

I don't think racism has anything to do with it.
Left-handedness was thought to be a sign of evil in older times, that's where we get the word 'sinister' from (Latin for 'left'). Conversely, right-handedness was seen to be good giving rise to words like 'dextrous' and 'dexterity' (Latin 'dexter').
I have to say I think cricket is much more interesting than baseball. I don't watch much cricket and I wouldn't be that bothered about going and watching a game, but baseball is just so boring. I'd guess a few more than 11,000 people watch each game too... Oh and yeah it's a cricket bat.
Harry.

I too am Cross lateral, bastard teachers.
I like cricket, very relaxing. i think i am kinda ambidextrous though, because i can do things with my left hand quite proficently(sp) such as play badminton write, type etc. i would also like to think i am quite constructive and arty, (i did take Art and did well at it in school) but also quite techy. (sorry to sound like parksie, but i yam what i yam and that's all that i yam)

left handed people tend to have a higher incidence of mental instability and a higher mortality rate. Simply a fact.

And I'm almost a warlock...I was taught right-handed but my handwriting's appalling so everyone thinks that it might have been a better idea to use my left hand

Mine is too, but I am naturally right-handed. I have a theory though. All users of computers (especially programmers) write with the keyboard, so when it comes to handwriting, we just can't do it neatly as we have so little practice. Applies to Doctor's also (though I don't know what their excuse is, loner's cramp maybe?)

Huh? I wouldn't know about that. I break pens by pressing really hard. Always have done, I have to else I can't control my writing at all, not that anyone would be able to tell the difference anyway...
