Happy days! Got the Firefly DVD boxset for Christmas. I had pretty much watched them all by the end of Christmas week and am going through them again

WHY DID THEY CANCEL THIS SHOW????

Because Fox is run by retards. They showed the episodes out of order, on Friday night(historically worst night for good ratings), virtually no advertisement of the show, kept pre-empting it with stupid reality specials, then canned it because ratings were not very high. Although the shows rating was actually pretty decent for a brand new show no one could see or knew existed.

I was kind of hoping that another network like Sci-Fi would pick it up and make a second series but it looks like it's dead in the water.

Although, there are rumours that there won't be a Firefly season 2 BUT there could be a spinoff of some kind....interesting

If there was only a spinoff Joss Whedon and gang wouldn't likely be involved. I wouldn't count on it being anywhere near as good without the same team of writers.

On the lighter side, one of the writers Tim Minear has a new show coming soon to Fox (if it survives a full season. probably won't) called Drive with Nathan Fillion(Mal) in the lead role. The show is called Drive.

I just got caught up on it finally. Thank god for iTunes. Like all other shows, I always get into it late. At least I didn't wait a couple seasons like I did with Battlestar Galactica. ^_^

You ought to check out Eureka! too. I had heard a little bit about it on the interweb and ended up downloading the whole season through iTunes.

I already watch Eureka. Decent show. It has alot of potential. I am hoping The Dresden Files will be good. I am reading the first book right now and it is pretty good.

I think we are actually in pretty good shape right now. Seems that the Drama is overtaking the reality crap and we got some pretty good stuff on TV and some good prospects coming.
