Special question about DataRepeater of quantum controls ?

this question is specially dedicated for you, a while ago you suggested to me some free controls called Quantum Soft controls (located in Australia). we depated a lot about if they are totaly free or not. now i am starting to use them for the first time, they look promosing but i could never have the datarepeater to work.

the datarepeater control depends on getting datarepeater row styles from the same project. the control said that you must create an inherited user control that inherits from datarepeaterrow. i have done that but when i go to my datarepeater control in the same project to select the template. the template i created is not there so i cannot link to it or any other template.

i hope that you have any experience about this issue, i have tried to locate any pdf manuals on quantum software site but without any luck.

I'm afraid that I've never used the DataRepeater control, although coincidentally that is what I was searching for when I stumbled on that library in the first place. It was the only WinForms repeater I could find. It was after someone else asked for one though, so I've never had the pleasure. I've got a Friday morning deadline so I don't have the time to play around with it at the moment I'm afraid. All I can suggest is that you take a look at the sample application and see what you can make of that. It's written in C# but you should be able to get the idea. Otherwise hope that someone else here has used it. If you're still having issues after Friday I will have a look then.

good luck on your deadline. i have looked at the samle application in c#, i followed the same way, namespaces and inheritance in visual basic and still it doesn't work.

i will try it myself till friday, then you can join me when you are free to hunt this control down

if i solve it, i will advise you here in the forums.

After all, I spent my night debugging this control in VB for VS2005. Maybe somebody else can use it.
