What should I do next?

I started learning vb.net at college at the start of semptember, I read learn visual basic 2005 by James Foxall it was very good and I have learnt alot. But now I do not know where to go I think I have grasped all of what is in the book and things at college.
What should I do next I want to broaden my skills, I also quite like the idea of integrating vb 2005 with database's and this interest me and I thionk it will be good to learn. I also want to add new languages to my knowledge, I have been told C# is quite good. But I am also very interested in Linux as my dad has invested into a company with a linux server and I have become the It administrator at 17, and enjoying it very much I took a course on webmin. BUt I think I need to learn Linux command line to be able to do more advanced things. Some guidance would be much appreciated.

Eventually, you'll need to pick a path. With .NET technologies, it'll be the MS path, else you have to pick the Linux path. Which interests you more?

If it's C# and .NET, try learning ASP.NET next. Web development should get you a decent job. Or not. Depending on where you live and how far behind the rest of the world it is.
