[Serious] Don't ever organise a party
I have had so much grief from so called friends about the party I have organised for Christmas night. Never again as it has totally destroyed the festive season for me as I am completely stressed out and a bag of nerves.

Let me guess "Why did you invite <person's name>? I don't like her..."

Re: [Serious] Don't ever organise a party
Actually one of my best friends decided to throw a party the same time. Forgot to mention it to anyone and has now had a go at everyone for going to mine instead of his. So of course everyone feels really bad about it and he's really playing up.
The only ones NOT causing trouble are the women!?! What's going on!?!

One of you has got to cancel. Or is it not that simple?

Say that he can be included as joint host, as long as he helps you clear up afterwards.
Christmas is the time for friendship and scoffing large quantities of mince pies and mulled wine at somebody else's house. Did he not know this?
Also, he must have become aware, when you invited him, that this was not a good day to host a rival party.

The problem is I've spent in excess of £100 on booze and stuff for the party. And like you say zaza, he must have known.
Chances are I will back down and probably won't go as it will just cause tension. Besides, it's nice sometimes to just stay in and watch a film with some choc

That's 164 miles from me. Couldn't you have chosen a more convenient location?

Close FishGuy and yes we have an awesome view of the stadium. Good atmosphere rugby day too as you can always hear the roar of the crowd when the roof is open.
Sorry Mendhak, can't relocate for the day

Just send the women over and all will be forgiven.
Laugh, and the world laughs with you. Cry, and you just water down your vodka.

You should be here for FA cup day, it's a great party atmosphere. The crowds are always really good-natured (and for football that's surprising). Fair credit to the police here though they do it properly by being present but not in your face

Why don't you print up some posters announcing his party and put them up at all the alternative lifestyle bars?
