[RESOLVED] Custom Control not defined problem
I am learning how to create custom controls in VB .NET 2003, but I am stuck with a problem.
I created the control, it is a textbox that just limits the types of input, nothing fancy (found a tutorial online and just adapted it to my purposes). I created a windows application to test it, added it to the toolbox and dropped it on the form. When I tried to run the program I get the error StrictTextBox.StrictTexBoxControl not defined.
If it was a variable or something, I would know how to fix it, but I have never created my own controls before, so I am not sure what to do. I did a search in the forums here, but wasn't able to find a solution.
How can my control not be defined if it was added to the toolbox and dropped on the form? How do I define it?
Thank you for your help.

Re: Custom Control not defined problem
Maybe you should try... defining it! Think about it. Also, quit using 2003. It's gonna be 2006 in 2 weeks!!!

Maybe if you don't have an intelligent answer you should spam some other forum.

Re: [RESOLVED] Custom Control not defined problem
No you didn't. All you did was piss me off. I always keep looking for the answer, even after I post here. You response was the farthest thing from helpful. After you posted in my thread, I did a search of other posts that you have made, and I have to say, you really should refrain from posting on this forum. Your responses are those of a 12 year old. By that I mean that they lack depth and they are, in many cases, condescending. Not to mention some I read were inaccurate and didn't address the original question.
Maybe posting in the forum makes you feel important, but you should watch how the more experienced posters make their responses. They have been very helpful with in-depth responses, and direction to resources that are helpful with learning how to program properly, not just give a quick answer. I would hate to see new people, learning to program on their own, like me, get turned off of this valuable resource because you want to try to sound smart.
