    Question Which is better; WEB Host or Dedicated Server?

    We are planning to move our web site (company's) to a dedicated server.
    What are the possible features we might get if we get a dedicated server?

    Is it possible for us to control the server remotely?
    Is it possible to install any software/tools to the dedicated server?

    That depends on the data center where it's located. Some places will give you ful control over the server and if you screw it up, that's your fault (they'll usualy help to fix it, but it may cost a few bucks). Some places you are the one that has to supply the server, they simply provide a the means to get it hooked up to the internet. Other places are more restrictive, and it varies. Check around. Ask questions.
