Moving to a paid host and domain

    Hi,
Does anybody have any experience moving a website from a free webbhost to a paid webhost with a paid domain.
How much traffic did you gain from google?
I would like to know how much google dislike free webhosts.
I know that most of the free webhosts are banned from google due to excessive amount of spam.
So I'm thinking that free webhosts that are new and gets indexed by Google, doesn't get as much traffic as
a paid webhost. Still free webhosts are used for blogs, forums, guestbooks and so on and they will be harder
to find. Not many new to the web knows that Google like to ban these and if they intend to use a free webhost
for a forum they will not get any traffic.

I would agree that Google prefers paid hosts than freebies. However, your position on Google depends on much more than your webhost. If your serious about your website, get a paid host it will help and they come very cheap nowadays.

I am a web designer, and I specialise in desinging and optimising (SEO) web sites to work well with Google and the other search engines.

If you like, post or send me the link to your current website, and I will review it and advise on how to improve it to work better with search engines (free of charge of course).
