    Philips Laptop reliability?

    Hello.

Just been looking at the new X56 Phillips laptop and it tickles my fancy. Mainly because of its size for the price.

The one thing that is making me hesitate though is the fact that its not made by a company that is really known in the laptop or even PC market. This makes me cautious as to how reliable it will be. I only really need it for my Astrophotography work so I dont want a super expensive laptop.

I am also looking at the Toshiba which is bigger but also £100 cheaper

Any helpful pointers from the community?

Considering the brand ,I would suggest you go for the Toshiba one.Because your primary use will be astro photography ,Toshiba is offering you a better model.

lol I was swaying the other way.

If it wasnt for the model make then I think I would definetely go with the philips as it is a higher spec and more compact with a longer battery life. At the same time mind you its screen maybe too small for most uses

Hmmm I feel I may have to go laptop hunting this weekend
