I have embedded a activex control inside a web page. I can get this to work on a PC/I.E. system, but not a netscape 6, or Mac/I.E 5... so now my question does the code have to be changed to get this to work? Is the Mac not using some version of COM, and my activeX control being a win32 bit ocx control holding me back on the Mac end?
I have downloaded netscape 6, and tryed downloading the plug in for the .ocx, but I can't get it to work.
comments? other than a pat on the head and a good luck kid?

Yes i have the same problem,
but there is no plugin i think, all you get is some links,
i tryed different plugins, i have +- 80mb on netscape plugins downloaded and none off them works.
the only solution i know, is creating a own netscape plugin, you can find the Netscape Plugin SDK for C++ on the netscape or mozila site. Don't look for a working plugin, you will never find it, because it isn't there. Sometimes you find links to the microsoft site for the ActiveX Control Pad (Netscape says, activeX will works with it), if you are on the MS site you have to look very hard to find it. and if you find it and download it, the activeX still doesn't work under Netscape

Activex Controls are Supported only in Internet Explorer Windows Version. IE for Macintosh and Unix do not Support Activex Controls.
Netscape Never Supported in the Past and Will not atleast in the Near future.

the reason why I don't want to use java is because it can be decompiled... unless someone knows of a way to keep that from happing.
